Tamworth City Toyota and Rural Aid Working Together

Tamworth City Toyota & Rural Aid Australia Working Together

The drought can be challenging on everyone, and none more than our farmers. Tamworth City Toyota is proud to have a strong relationship with Rural Aid and as a local initiative Tamworth City Toyota is now a collection point for donations of non-perishable grocery items.
Located at 311-315 Marius St Tamworth, come and drop off any non perishable grocery items into the back of our Toyota HiLux SR5 located in our Service Reception. You can’t miss it thanks to Lloyd Sign Co for the great signange who have also generously contributed to the project.
These grocery items will be packaged and distributed via Rural Aid helping drought-affected farmers in our local community.
We will have ongoing updates on our social media sites as well.
Thank you for your generous support!

The annual Tamworth Country Music Festival is a wonderful time of year that brings the community together. Tamworth City Toyota held its annual VIP Night on Wednesday night 22nd Jan 2020.

On a night filled with music, with performance by Tamworth City Toyota Ambassador Aleyce Simmonds, 2019 Toyota Star Maker Blake O'Connor Music and the 2020 Toyota Star Maker Sammy White, including leaders of the Tamworth community, it was the perfect opportunity for Tamworth City Toyota to present Tracy Alder, co-founder of Rural Aid, with a $5,000 donation and announced its ongoing support of Rural Aid.

Tamworth City Toyota Dealer Principal, Tim Easey, was raised in Quirindi and his family are still on the land locally. Tim knows the drought has taken its toll on everyone, and none more so than our farmers.

Mr Easey said “We wanted to provide support to our local farmers and contacted Tracey Adler at Rural Aid to see if this could be achieved.

Over recent weeks the Dealership, located on Marius Street, was a collection point for donations of non-perishable groceries to help the drought-affected farmers in the local community, with staff and guests filling the tray of a HiLux.

Mr Easey said “We have even had some visitors to Tamworth for the festival bring in boxes of groceries. One man visiting from Melbourne saw our Facebook Post and donated many items. Lloyd Sign Co also came onboard kindly donating the sign writing on the HiLux in our showroom.”

Tamworth City Toyota is proud to support our rural communities through Rural Aid.
